Just 500 cars were allocated to the United States, making it one of the rarest factory Boxster special editions ever offered. This example is No. 971 of 1,953 and is believed to be one of only four known cars equipped with the exceptionally rare factory center console delete option. Cars ordered without the console received the plaque in an alternate factory location—it is among the most unusual and sought after examples.
