1984 RUF RSR

In 1984, a PTS Porsche Carrera M491 was purchased in Illinois. In 1985, RUF North America upgraded the car to RUF BTR spec and it was subsequently taken to Alan Johnson Racing for steel 935-style custom bodywork. It soon gained recognition as the RUF RSR. After the 3.4L engine was replaced with a 3.5L, it failed during the car’s first track outing. The car remained unused for over 20 years until it was purchased in 2015. The new owner installed a twin-turbo 3.8-liter engine and a RUF 6-speed transmission, producing over 700 horsepower. The car now delivers exceptional performance on the road.
