2819 3.0 liter 930 Turbos were produced during its three year run. Turbo Carrera was the unique name given to the US model. Only 717 were made in 1977 for the US and this the only one, of any color, that had the dress MacKenzie tartan plaid interior option.

The Turbo Carreras are called the widow maker because of its turbo lag induced on/off power curve, but that sudden rush of power is what makes this car exciting to drive. You have to plan ahead if you are driving with enthusiasm.
