56 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP!! In 1969 I purchased this 1966 912 Porsche after seeing my longtime friend Richard Maxey’s new 67’ Gulf Blue 912. In 1969 I signed my first teacher contract for $7,800 a year, within a month I found my 66’ Irish Green 912 and paid the original owner $3,800. It served as my daily driver and weekend ride during my 39 years as a teacher, principal, superintendent and now for 17 years of retirement. During the past 56 years it has demonstrated the reliability of German craftmanship!
Two of my better decisions were to:
1) buy the car
and
2) keep it!!
