1965 Porsche 911
Color: Light Ivory
From: Carmel-by-the-Sea, California
A real 300-Series car, one of the earliest 911s ever built.
It lives in two configurations: the original numbers-matching drivetrain, preserved exactly as it left the factory, and this one, Sports Purpose. The second is deliberate, the car we would have built in the 1960s with the means to make every part the very best.
A hand-built 2.4-liter 911S-spec flat six, north of 180 horsepower in a 2,155-pound car. Magnesium crankcase, triple PMO carbs, an amber shroud honoring the R-series. Lighter and faster than anything the factory built in 1965, and built to be driven enthusiastically.
