This 1954 Porsche 356 Cabriolet is a cherished family heirloom, purchased by my dad prior to 1966 and restored as one of his first projects shortly after. Although the motor and transmission were updated over the decades, the car retains many original parts, making it a true survivor. Recent updates (after 25 years in storage): Body/interior (2021) and an engine rebuild (2025).
The car was used as our daily driver as I remember going on Sunday family outings in the early ‘70s. I sat on my mom's lap, while my sisters sat in the back. Safety devices were not as much of a concern back then.
